Latin character set expansions

The character set Latin consists of several parts of character sets. So far, you could only register domain names with the letters »a« to »z«, the digits »0« to »9«, and the hyphen, which are from the set Latin Basic.
Due to the expansion of the set of allowed characters you can now also use characters from the subsets Latin Extended A, Latin Extended B and Latin-1 Supplement in domain names.
The IDN country overview provides detailed information on which character sets each of the registries allow.
