data access, a storage system is the method of choice. As with the

Servers, Knipp offers you to configure »your« storage system
according to your demands to a large extent.
Regarding the hardware, you can choose between
HP for the premium and high-end
range or our private brand as a medium-range solution. With
HP, Knipp trusts
SAN systems, which are
connected via
FC either with
iSCSI
or with
S-ATA
hard disks, depending on your choice.
If you decide in favour of our private brand, a
NAS system is used,
which stores the data on
S-ATA
hard disks. No matter which option you prefer, in both cases the storage
system has redundant power supply units and
RAID
levels of your choice.
