
Job description
We take care of software projects with a high percentage of complex computer
science. Tasks dealing with the DNS
are often to the fore. The high-quality software used is tailor-made for the work
at hand. Our German and international customers value our structured approach.
The software is in world-wide use. The support is done by e-mail and by telephone
using our twenty-four-seven hotline (in German as well as in English).
You are the first contact for all questions arising during everyday business
operation and handle them independently. Among your assignments are the following
tasks: telephone support, monitoring of systems, documentation of incidents and
activities using a web-based ticket system.
Your Profile
You have started to study natural sciences or engineering and have already
passed the pre-diploma examination (if applicable). Computer sciences should be
at least your minor field of study. You have a solid understanding of networks
( LAN,
TCP/IP,
DNS, firewalls). Furthermore, you
are most familiar with well-established operating systems (Linux and
UNIX-derivatives like
HP-UX) and programming languages
(Java, Perl, shell scripting). You are also familiar with databases (Postgres,
Sybase, MySQL) as well
as application servers (Tomcat and JBoss).
Location
The workplace is located in Dortmund, in the technology park (Technologiepark)
near the university.
