Light exposure of offset printing films

Knipp provides wide business activities around the classical light exposure of films for offset printing, matching the needs of print offices, publishing houses and agencies perfectly.
Scans that hold out against the critical view. Scans that hold out against the critical view.

Sharp scans and sharp prices

Despite the technological progress, scanning of slides and copies is a scholarschip of its own. Different color spaces have to be mapped onto each other. In this area, our experience is used for every single scan. Nevertheless we are still able to offer closely calculated prices.
Multiple usage e.g. for internet and print products is assured by using high-quality filter techniques.
We are a qualified contact for further image editing beyond the actual scan. Especially when it comes to retouching, cutting out and photographic montage, specialists are needed.

Digital proof

For several control procedures, digital proofs already have taken the place of the former analog proofs. Production reliability is ensured. The advantage of digital proofs is the ability to add another control step before light exposure of the film. Purchases and expenditure are unbeatably low.
Different paper grades and print methods can be simulated very fast. Especially for editions on different media, e.g. recovered paper and high gloss coated paper, you can achieve results which could hardly be simulated by analog proofs.

Digital sheet montage

Our digital sheet montage saves time and money. Besides, you automatically receive a form proof. If necessary, you can check this proof before light exposure regarding textual and technical correctness and approve it afterwards. In doing so, last-minute corrections can be made before film exposure.
We solely need a detailed imposition scheme including details towards processing chracteristics, turning method, sheet standing on printing plate and necessary control and steering items.

Film exposure

Ever since the invention of book printing, the print technology has developed constantly. Offset printing will remain the primary method for years to come. Therefore, films are still indispensible.
We exclusively use premium brand film. With regard to our customers, we cannot afford to use cheap material. Registration marks and crop marks are included without additional charge, even on oversize formats. And if you are in a hurry, we'll offer straightforward help to meet your deadlines.
Usually the rendered data is stored for five working days. This allows light exposure of an additional color set within an hour if necessary.
